The Department of Ethics and Business Law of the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota invites applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of potential adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate business ethics, business law, and compliance courses. Adjunct appointments are without tenure and are not tenure-track appointments. Adjunct instructors may be hired as needed to teach one or multiple classes on a semester-by-semester basis.
This posting is for a pooled, adjunct faculty position for continuous recruitment. Review of candidates is typically done three times annually – spring, summer and fall.
Salary range:
$3,951-$5,065 per course (1.5 and 2-credit courses)
$5,977-$7,598 per course (3 and 4-credit courses)
As an adjunct faculty member in the Ethics & Business Law Department, your primary responsibility will be to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. We offer a variety of courses in Business Ethics, Business Law, and Compliance at the undergraduate and graduate levels and are one of the few programs in the country to offer an undergraduate major and minor in Law and Compliance. Courses may be offered face-to-face or online. We welcome candidates with expertise in all areas of Business Ethics, Business Law, and Compliance to teach core and specialized courses including foundation courses in business ethics and business law, international business law, financial law, and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS :For business ethics courses, the required minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in business or related field (philosophy/ethics). In some instances, an undergraduate philosophy degree combined with significant business ethics or compliance experience will be sufficient. For business law courses, a J.D or LLM is required. Business experience and prior experience teaching courses in Ethics & Business Law at the undergraduate or graduate levels will be an added advantage.
