POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Inpatient Medicine/ Transitions of Care Clinical Pharmacy Manager, the Technician Supervisor follows the policies and procedures to perform technical, clinical, and administrative services that are integral to the operation of the pharmacy department. Oversees the work of a team of Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Technicians; develops work schedules, and trains pharmacy support staff. He or she maintains the daily operations of the Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Technician team including supervising personnel, coordinating with inpatient pharmacy staff, and ensuring that high quality, safe, and timely medication products are provided to BMC patients. Performs a variety of technical and clerical support tasks.

Conducts interpersonal relationship with patients, visitors, physicians and fellow employees in a courteous and customer friendly manner
Takes corrective action to improve performance on problem areas
Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures
Utilizes hospital’s behavioral standards as the basis for decision making and to support the hospital’s mission and goals

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED :
Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Board of Pharmacy. Must also have national certification (CPT) from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT)
EXPERIENCE:
Requires 3 or more years related work experience. Inpatient and retail pharmacy experience preferred. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
