What Does Being a Teacher Look Like?
As a teacher, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work directly with students, guiding them through their educational journey with personalized support. You'll collaborate with fellow educators and families to create a dynamic, engaging learning experience. Your role will contribute to a positive and team-oriented environment focused on student success.
Responsibilities:
Homeroom Team:
Provide weekly support and motivation for students
Personalize learning opportunities and resources based on student needs
Collaborate with parents through email, offering guidance and support
Community Team:
Work with large and small groups of students, offering synchronous learning experiences
Design and lead engaging lessons and activities for students
Student Success Team:
Mentor students enrolled in specific courses and offer tutoring
Identify at-risk students and work together to create intervention plans
General:
Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise and support one another
Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for student growth
Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A strong belief in personalized learning and understanding that every student is unique
Kind, organized, personable, and patient
Familiarity with Google tools (email, calendars, documents, etc.)
Comfortable learning new online systems and programs
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam
Availability of 15-20 hours per week, with potential responsibilities during core business hours (10 AM - 3 PM MT)
Eligible to work in the U.S. (remote work available from approved locations)
Experience in non-traditional educational settings is a plus
Additional Information:
Hourly pay starts at $22 (commensurate with qualifications)
